A versatile natural sand used across construction and infrastructure applications, our material has also been supplied to major renewable-energy projects where thermal performance is an important consideration.

THERMAL PERFORMANCE
Virtigo’s Malmesbury sand has demonstrated favourable thermal characteristics, making it suitable for selected applications where the thermal performance of surrounding or backfill material is important.
Our sand has been used on infrastructure projects including wind and solar energy developments, with material transported from Malmesbury to projects as far as the Karoo.
Thermal test information and supporting documentation can be made available for applicable project requirements.
TYPICAL APPLICATIONS
BUILDING & MASONRY
Suitable for general building, brickwork, masonry and other construction applications where an appropriate natural building sand is required.
BACKFILL & BEDDING
Can be used for selected filling, bedding and backfill applications, subject to the requirements of the project.
